How is the TOK Exhibition accessed?

Updated: Mar 15, 2022

What is TOK?

TOK stands for Theory of Knowledge. The TOK exhibition is a live or virtual show with three subjects established on one "IA request". It is a platform where your instructor at an internal level will evaluate you, but the IB Examiner will supervise your work at the external level.

How can the TOK Exhibition be helpful?

An "exhibition" basically intends to analyze your proficiency to pertain to the notion of TOK in the substantial society by delivering knowledge of your potential to understand the subject you are exploring and nurturing.

Indication of your skill to discuss the subject you researched and questions answered in the classroom can be reflected by confidence. In addition, the public can review your exhibition.

You must finalize the presentation on your own and ensure that no one else in your TOK group or school specializes in the same objects or photographs.

To be precise, your TOK exhibition is your way of showcasing your awareness of specific crucial TOK tenets and how you can employ them in the "actual living."

How to access the TOK Exhibition?

Accessing the TOK Exhibition is very simple. First, you have to choose one option from the catalog mentioned on the platform. Then you should look for three things (or photographs of objects) that correspond to the challenge and broaden your understanding.

Accessing the TOK Exhibition is a 3-stage task.

Three stages that need to be fulfilled to compose the exhibition are:

1) First stage- Select the IA prompt related to the three objects. Remember that all three (object images) should be related to a similar challenge. You can access a similar prompt for the entire duration of this specification (different from different essay titles each year). By selecting these subjects, you lock a topic for you on which all the study will be done and then examine the three items bound to the IA prompt. The term "object" has many meanings. It depends on you how well you understand it. Memorize that you can use the image of the item and maintain a list of imaginable "things" of curiosity.

2) Second stage- In this stage, you have to create a report that will be graded and evaluated. You will learn about object recognition and clarify its distinctive real-world perspective. At this step, instructors can prepare vocal and written examinations. Each pupil's TOK exhibition assignments and presentations are integrated into one record. This should comprise a title that completely specifies the chosen IA topic, a snapshot of the three objects, a text comment about each object, and relevant sources and souvenirs.

3) Third stage- In this stage, you have to display the presentation on the objects you selected. After ordering all the articles, it is the time when students have to present what they have created after all the study. This level is not part of a conventional assessment and should be in a very entertaining way to demonstrate to other kids, parents, and possibly guests what all things you have learned at TOK. Your teacher and the school can decide about how you approach this. TOK exhibitions can be scheduled during regular TOK classes, or hold exhibitions for young students, parents, and school community members.

TOK is the platform where a child discovers to understand a subject uniquely and creatively.
